Club Facilities
Nearly one hundred years of history and experience reflects Nyack Boat Club as a traditional boating facility. Through the years the Club has made a substantial investment in it facilities.
The Clubhouse includes a full kitchen with modern amenities, an enormous meeting and party room with a beautiful hardwood floor and an expansive view of the majestic Hudson River, a fully stocked snack bar which is open for business regularly during the season, a personal locker area for our members and clean, modern, shower equipped rest rooms. The clubhouse also includes a full time caretaker's apartment.
Outside we've land storage for 'dry sailors'. The property holds one hundred centerboard sailboats on trailers, racks over sixty windsurfers, sunfish & laser size boats and forty -plus dignies.
Our mooring area provides room for one hundred fifty larger boats. Just off shore in front of the Club, there is a Coast Guard designated mooring area within which you may launch and maintain your own mooring. While we do provide launch service as a convenience to our members on most days during the summer, the default method of getting back and forth to your boat is with one of 4 small outboardpowered craft which belong to the club.
The club lawns and picnic grounds are used regularly by our members and their guests, seven days a week, all season long. Our lovely patio promenade and covered deck offers a spectacular view of the river and a relaxed setting to socialize & take in the club races.
Stretching eastward, three hundred feet out over the river is our main pier. Attached are finger docks for the use of our members and a dock for our club launch. Easily hailed by VHF radio, horn or flag, the launch offers a full season schedule for convenient pick up and discharge of our members and their guests. Resting atop the bulkhead extending north/south along our frontage are seven electric hoists providing launch and haulout capabilities for boats up to five tons and thirty feet.
Additionally, the Club owns a twenty six foot Race Committee boat, three patrol boats, a mooring derrick and several smaller outboard powered craft for the convenient use of our members.
